What We Do

Our commitment to addressing hunger extends beyond just providing meals; it’s about fostering a sense of dignity and hope for a brighter future for all those we serve. Neighbors in need are welcome to select items including fruits, vegetables, meat and non-perishables, as well as household supplies and personal items in our market-style pantry.

Celebrating 2 Years!!

On November 4, our food pantry celebrated its second anniversary—an important milestone made possible by the incredible support of our parish and community. Since opening in 2023, we’ve seen a steady rise in the number of families seeking assistance. On our very first day, we served 32 families. Two years later, we now welcome more than 100+ families every Saturday.

To mark our anniversary, we offered coffee and donuts to families and volunteers, creating a warm moment of fellowship and connection. This celebration also served as our Thanksgiving event. Every family received gift cards from the KDKA Turkey Fund and the 2000 Turkey Fund in Washington County and had the opportunity to choose specialty items for their holiday meals.

The generosity of our parish and community partners has been nothing short of overwhelming. Food drives through Peters Township School District, library, local businesses, Girl Scouts, and other organizations filled our shelves with an incredible variety of non-perishable items. Parishioners also shared their talents by knitting hats and headbands for children and adults, and many donated fresh turkeys to ensure families—especially those with multiple members—had a special holiday meal.

We are deeply grateful for the financial donations we received as well. These gifts have allowed us to stock our shelves far beyond what we ever imagined and deliver crucial support to families facing challenges with SNAP benefits and other hardships.

THANK YOU for helping us make a meaningful difference for the families we serve — we could not do this without you!
